Help us help Rudy/Red!

Rudy (aka Red) is a Colony cat that has been cared for at a Colony for the past five years in Baldwin. Last month he showed up looking extremely ill. He was immediately trapped and taken to the vet who felt he had anemia from fleas. After the vet appointment, he perked up and his appetite increased. Then a week later, he regressed dramatically. He was taken to West Hills Emergency Vet and has been hospitalized since Thursday, July 10th. His PCV dropped down to 15%, showing severe anemia that was at risk of requiring a blood transfusion. Rudy tested positive for a Microplasma Haeatopumminutum infection. He is now stable and eating on his own. His PCV has increased to 16% and is being closely monitored. He’s still hospitalized and receiving if antibiotics, as well as oral antibiotics and fluids. Please donate to help us save Rudy!
