We are setting up this page to help our cousin, Rudranath (Rudy) Balram in Queens, New York during a medical emergency. Rudy is in desperate need of a kidney - his kidneys are small and have outlasted their functional capacity. Rudy underwent emergency surgery on Aug 1and is still in the hospital. He has been sick for months now due to his kidneys malfunctioning and have been unable to work. Due to the surgery and his need for a kidney, he will be unable to work for months to come also. As a result, we have started a fundraiser to help his young family during this crisis. The money will be used to help with childcare (he has a young son), medical expenses, and general household expenses. No amount is too small -every little bit helps.
