Hi, my name is Rudy Arviso. I am a member of the Navajo Nation. I am a father of three kids and we reside in St. Michaels, AZ. The purpose of this fundraiser is that we are trying to save our home from being lost due to foreclosure. My family and I am humbly asking for your donation. I am not really going to get into details about how I got to this point, but truth be told, it's been a rough couple of years. Some things that I faced were unemployment,  COVID-19 related issues, personal family problems, a bout of depression, and the loss of a family member. Now I'm possibly going to lose our house. Personally, I have done all I can to try to save our home from finding employment out of town, to creating a budget plan,  trying to work with my lender, and reaching out to state, federal, and tribal programs, but I haven't had any luck or good news.  At times, it feels like  all this work I'm doing is for nothing and I'm ultimately going to lose our home. Just recently, I received a letter stated that my home is in the beginning stages of foreclosure.  Also I was notified that  May 15th, 2022 has been set for the sale if I do not come up with reinstatement costs which total more than $10,000. I truly care about keeping this home for my kids. For the past 8 years, we have lived here and have made many memories here and this is the only place my kids know as home so now I'm trying every avenue I can think of to get help which led me to create this GoFundMe page to ask for the public's help.

Recently, I submitted my loss mitigation package to my lender after getting all the necessary documents in order. I'm hoping that they can review my package and explore other options to saving my home. These options include a forbearance on payments, working out a repayment plan, payment deferral, and loan modification. So I'm hoping my lender will have some good news for me after reviewing my paperwork in a week or so.  But if worse comes to worse and no other options are available besides paying the reinstatement then I would have to pay the total amount I owe which is near $10,000 (I will upload paperwork to show proof). Currently, I have close to $5000 of the reinstatement costs. However, this $10,000 amount is only quoted until  March 1,2022. I was told a new reinstatement quote would have to be requested and the cost will rise due to attorney fees and new past due house payments. I'm expecting it up go up at least another $1000 within this month and another grand by the end of April. But I would like to try to pay as much as as I can and as soon as I can  get out of delinquency status.

I hope you will find it in your hearts to help my family and I. Although I have been stressed and worried,  I have not given up faith and hope things will turn out for the best. I pray that my efforts will pay off and something good will come out of our struggles. I know I'm not the only person going through this situation as I have heard others are always facing similar situations around the country. I hope my story can fall on the ears of tribal leadership and others so that they can begin to start helping  tribal homeowners like my family and I who need homeowners financial assistance.

I really appreciate your time reading this story (I know it's kind of long), your understanding, and your consideration.

Ahee'hee/Thank you,

Rudy Arviso

Note:  Receipts  will be provided to the individuals who donate as proof that money was applied towards reinstatement if needed or requested
