On June 10, 2021 Dr. Rudy Cerullo was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital. The news was devastating. An infection had rapidly turned to sepsis which then attacked the mitral valve in his heart. Within 48 hours Dr. Rudy’s mitral value was essentially destroyed. Gently the doctors explained that he was in emergent need of open-heart surgery. However, due to the sepsis, any type of surgery was off the table. Over the next few days, Dr. Rudy’s condition only worsened. A MRI showed both ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes. Additionally, Dr. Rudy’s kidney function was significantly decreased, and fluid was building up in his lungs. The reports from the doctors were dire. There was no hope of recovery. Hospice was recommended and at one point, Dr. Rudy was not expected to live through the night. But the reports given were those of the doctors and not those of our Lord. The Lord has seemed fit to not only sustain Dr. Rudy’s life but to give him abilities that his MRI demonstrates should not be possible. Oh, what a mighty God we serve! There are still so many medical risks that Dr. Rudy still faces. For this reason, we are asking all who read this to continue praying for Rudy, Lynn, the doctors and the therapists. Romans 12:12 comes to mind. “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer”. There are tangible needs too…

Dr. Rudy and Lynn Cerullo ~ our friends, counselors, mentors and pastors have spent their life helping people know the heart of Jesus. Now we have an opportunity to help them.

Due to the current crisis Dr. Rudy and Lynn’s income has been reduced to $0!!!! While we all hope and pray that Lynn will be able to resume her caseload in time, when that happens, their combined income will be at only 50% of what they need to meet their obligations. It is unknown when Dr. Rudy will be able to return to counseling.
