Help Ruby & Her 3 Children Escape Homelessness

Hi, my name is Rachael Green, and I’m creating this GoFundMe to support my sister, Ruby Green — a devoted and loving mother of three — who is currently homeless with her children in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Our family has been through a lot this past year. After the passing of our mother on December 30, 2024, the home Ruby and her children had been living in had to be sold. Ruby had been our mom's full-time caregiver during home hospice, and in doing so, she had to step away from work beginning in March 2024.

Now, with no place to go, Ruby and her three children — Josiah (11), Nevaeh (10), and Makai (7) — are living out of their car, doing everything they can to stay safe, warm, and together. We've applied to multiple shelters and local assistance agencies, but so far, we've had no luck securing a place for them to stay.

Ruby is actively job hunting and has already been on several interviews. But without stable housing or childcare, it's nearly impossible for her to return to work full-time — especially when most rental options require income three times the monthly rent.

Two of the children have ADHD and rely on daily medication to function and succeed in school. The instability is taking a serious toll on their well-being. Ruby is doing everything she can, but it's incredibly hard watching your loved ones go through something like this.
