My name is Damian, and I'm reaching out to ask for your help with a very special cause. I have the privilege of caring for Miss Ruby, a sweet and resilient pup who has had a tough time over the last couple of years.

Ruby came into my life as a rescue dog after a series of challenges, including leg injuries that made it impossible for her previous owner to care for her. Ruby also struggles with a high level of anxiety, which only added to her journey. After some months of rehabilitation, Ruby found a potential forever home, but sadly, things didn’t work out. She came back to me, where she has settled in and had a wonderful year with us.

However, recently, we’ve hit a major roadblock. Ruby developed an ear infection, and after numerous efforts from both me and our vet to treat it, we discovered something devastating: Ruby has been diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma in her ear. To save her life, she will need total ear canal ablative surgery, a procedure where a large portion of her ear canal will need to be removed. This is a major surgery, and the cost is expected to exceed $8,000.

We’ve already spent close to $1,500 in an attempt to have the mass removed from Ruby’s ear. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, the procedure didn’t provide the outcome we had hoped for, and Ruby still needs additional medical care. The remaining costs for her surgery and aftercare are still beyond what I can afford on my own at this point in time.

Ruby is a very anxious dog, but over time, she has become an integral part of our little pack. Despite her rough start, Ruby has found love and safety in our home, and at just seven years old, she still has so much life to live. We are doing everything we can to give her a chance to thrive, but this surgery is crucial, and I’m reaching out for help to make it happen.
