Help Ruby & Chris rebuild from devastating fire

Late last while on evacuation standby Ruby heard an explosion down the street and realized the distant fires had reached her neighborhood without official warning.

She grabbed what she could along with her 3 cats and raced out of town.

As of this morning we believe her and Chris' home and all of their belongings -- both personal and for their business -- have burned to the ground in a complete loss.

Thankfully she was able to get to safety and is in a motel until she can figure out her next move, but is in immediate need of support for the motel room, food, supplies for the cats, and clothing (she wasn't even able to pack a complete change of clothes!)

Please contribute whatever you can now, and help spread the word. We will be updating this page soon. It is written at the moment by Andy, Ruby's bff and former co-worker at Democracy For America. I spoke with Ruby this morning and she asked me to set up this page. She is safe and sound for the moment but dealing with a lot so please refrain from calling until later.
