Help my Mother, Rubina, Fight Cancer

Hello Everyone,

My name is Salman and firstly, I'd like to thank all of you in taking the time to hear about one the most selfless, kind and independent woman that my siblings and I have been blessed to call our Mother (Rubina). Today it is with great stress and urgency that I'm reaching out to You to raise money for her medical bills for cancer treatment, specifically Radiotherapy.

When I was 14, my Father had walked out of our lives leaving Her and his 3 young children with no means of a stable income to fend for themselves. Living in a foreign country in Asia where employment laws and visas were granted based on a high criteria, coupled with the fact that Rubina had no form of proper or transitional education and a lack of communication in English, She still managed to quickly realize the gravity of her situation and transitioned into being the sole provider for the livelihood of her entire family covering our education and living expenses till We were old enough to contribute. Working illegally and only on cash basis as a private tuition teacher for the Urdu language, risking the possibility of being caught and getting deported, She fought through all challenges single handedly to raise 3 boys, put food on the table and still kept her positive attitude to life with a smile, proving that the love & will a Mother has for her children to succeed will always triumph over any challenge this life gives us. Years later, Rubina was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. We sought treatment; surgery and therapy and yes She beat it! We were all in a better position in life by then and the expenses were managed. 6 years later, this time, it's a little different...

Today, unfortunately, her cancer has reoccurred and has metastasized in her pelvis, rib as well as lung. Needless to say, it is a very real and frightening position to be in. As she is neither a Citizen or PR of Canada, it is impossible to seek treatment here with any coverage. Furthermore, as Rubina still resides in Asia with my Brother, medical expenses are still paid out of pocket for Foreigners. We have done tests and sought the opinion of multiple oncologists and radiologist which have suggested immediate Radiotherapy to fully eradicate the multiple tumors, which will commence within the week. The goal is to raise enough funds to cover the following areas:

• Radiotherapy Treatment
• Hospital + Clinical expenses (on-going tests, consultations etc)
• On-going medication for the next 3 -5 years
• After treatment care (i.e. in-house nurse)

I humbly ask that You would assist not only in donating but spreading this message across your networks to as many people as possible.
