Help Rubi in her battle against Breast Cancer

Hi, my name is Dulce and on behalf of my sister-in-law Rubi and her husband Israel, I would like to share their story in efforts to raise funds during this very difficult time.

These last couple of months have been very hard for the Lechuga family. In August 2024 , my mother-in-law was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and just a couple weeks later, Rubi was diagnosed with an aggressive type of breast cancer . There really aren’t any words to describe how devastating this situation is.

Unfortunately, Rubi lost her health insurance coverage earlier this year when she went part time at her job to pursue a cybersecurity certification from CU Boulder . We could have never predicted she would be in dire need of health insurance a couple months later . Rubi will be starting chemotherapy soon and the medical expenses are already starting to stack up . I come here to ask for help . We are heartbroken that Rubi is going through this tough battle and want to do what we can to relieve the financial burden.

If you know Rubi , you know she is one of a kind .She’s smart. She’s caring and she is so funny. Her laugh is so contagious, and her energy just lights up the room .If you cannot donate , please send us prayers and positive thoughts. We believe in the power of God and believe Rubi and my mother-in-law will beat this cancer.

Hola mi nombre es Dulce y de parte de mi cuñada Rubi y su esposo Israel me gustaría compartir su historia con el esfuerzo de recaudar fondos durante este momento difícil.

Estos últimos meses han sido muy difíciles para la familia Lechuga. En Augusto del 2024, mi suegra fue diagnosticada con cáncer de ovario y solamente unas semanas después Rubi ha sido diagnosticada con un Cáncer de mama agresivo. Honestamente no ahí palabras para describir lo difícil y lo devastador de esta situación. Al inicio del año Rubí decidió solo trabajar tiempo medio en su trabajo para perseguir una carrera en ciberseguridad en la Universidad de CU Boulder . Al trabajar tiempo medio, Rubi perdió su cobertura de seguro médico. Nunca nos podíamos imaginar que ella necesitaría su seguro con urgencia unos meses después. Rubí está por empezar quimioterapia y los gastos médicos ya empezaron a cumularse. Estoy aquí para pedir ayuda. Tenemos el corazón roto sabiendo que Rubí está pasando por esta batalla muy difícil y nos gustaría hacer todo lo posible para aliviar la carga financiera.

Si conoces ah Rubí sabes que es amable, es inteligente y es muy atenta. Rubí es única. Su carcajada es contagiosa. Rubí ilumina cualquier lugar con su energía.
