My name is Jenny and I am trying to help out my best friend Lucia and her family. On December 23rd Lucia's brother Ruben had a heart attack. He was taken to Kaiser, where he had several more heart attacks over the next day. On Christmas Eve the family was told there was little hope for survival and Ruben was transferred to San Francisco. Once in San Francisco, the family was told that the pump that was put in was damaging Ruben's body and they needed to move him to Santa Clara. The family followed and were allowed to see him 2 at a time for short periods of time. The hardest part is that Ruben was still awake and able to understand what was happening. Ruben has a wife and two kids aged 12 and 6. His wife Jen will need as much support as possible to get through these tough times. Ruben is currently in surgery, and the doctors have told the family that there is really no hope of survival.
