Help Ruben maintain his household & medical bill

Donation protected

As many of you know Ruben aka pops has always been a hard worker and dedicated to his business that him and his son started. Ruben has always been diabetic and tried hard to take care of himself but sometimes family (having little ones) and work got in the way. Ruben was having to take time off due to not feeling well. Ruben did not feel well on the 12th of April and decided to go to the doctors and had blood work done during his visit. The next day the doctors called his wife Missy and advised her that Pops needed to go admit himself as the blood work did not look good. Ruben admitted himself and doctors came in and said that his kidney levels were at a 7 and normal levels should be at a 1. And that he had stage 3 kidney disease. And that he has to possibly do dialysis. They made arrangements to do a biopsy on his kidneys that same week on Thursday. Pops went into surgery Thursday morning to do the biopsy and immediately the doctors put a port into his chest for dialysis and said that he needed to go right away after the biopsy surgery. Pops did dialysis the next few days and was feeling good. Tuesday the 20th pops called Missy (wife) and told her that his stomach was hurting really bad and he couldn't eat, sleep, or get comfortable. Missy arrived at 745am to find pops in a lot of pain and that doctors had given him 3 shots of fentanyl already and it was not working. Doctors decided to take him for a scan where they found internal bleeding from the biopsy of the kidney and that he had lost a lot of blood. Pops had to have blood transfusions for the next few days. The next few days he slept a lot, was delusional, not really coherent, and had a fever of 101. Doctors were giving him meds and fluids to help him but nothing was. Thursday the 22nd they ran another scan and found pops to be having internal bleeding again and bacteria infection, so again he went to surgery and was in there for 5 hours. Doctors had to remove one of his kidneys which they say was full of the infection and like a sponge cause it was full of blood. They had to clean out the infection from his body. Ruben has 90% kidney failure and his vessels are so tiny they dont know how he survived. He needs a kidney transplant and dialysis for the rest of his life. As his kids we are trying to help him pay for expenses of his household for at least 6 months until he can get financial assistance and to help pay for dialysis until programs kick in and for any unforeseen medical bills that may occur since pops has no health insurance. Ruben has 4 adult kids who have helped him as much as they can financially and he has 3 little kids that need their dad to attend dialysis to be there for them and watch them grow up. We ask for anything you can give and if you can't give, we ask for prayers for the Trevino Family as we have to make life adjustments for Ruben. We want to have a non-stressful transition financially as many of you know Ruben works hard and is the main bread maker of his house and determined to work. Please help us. #trevinostrong
