Help Melissa and Family After Letty's Battle With Cancer

Donation protected
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved mother, Leticia Isabel Ruvalcaba, who recently lost her courageous battle with stomach cancer. Despite undergoing an intense surgery to remove a tumor, her strength and resilience were unmatched as she fought for every moment with her loved ones. Sadly, her health declined, and she passed away surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and countless cherished memories.

Originally from Tijuana, Baja California, Letty lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She often told her children that they were her greatest accomplishments. She was known for her generous spirit, gentle soul, love of cooking, and passion for classic rock, alternative rock, and movies. Among her favorite bands and media were The Cure, The Rolling Stones, Grease, A Night at the Roxbury, The Wizard of Oz, The Wedding Singer, I Love Lucy, and Seinfeld. She made the best company and conversation in any situation. She always knew what to say to make your day better or more interesting.

Fostering relationships and sharing love through pop culture and food brought her immense joy. She often brought boxes of Krispy Kreme doughnuts to share with neighbors and her children’s classrooms when she worked there for 6 years while living in La Habra, Orange County. She worked graveyard shift so that she would be able to watch her children in the mornings. She was the oldest grandchild in her family and the oldest daughter, sharing everything she knew about pop culture with her cousins, two younger siblings, and daughters. Being a mother was her favorite. She loved spending time with her kids and husband visiting theme parks, Vegas, and Laguna Beach. She taught her kids endless compassion and love through example alone, often buying gifts for less privileged children in the community and helping fund medical costs for stray cats or dogs with no home.

Letty is survived by her family that she adored with all her heart - her loving husband of 32 years Ruben Jauregui Nuncio, her two devoted daughters, Melissa Giselle Jauregui and Karen Jessica Jauregui, her cherished cats Tabby Bunny and Torty Hermosa, her siblings Irene and Miguel, her nephew Javier Jr, her niece Chelsea and four grandcats: Nikki Sixx, Romeo Aiden, Julian Casablancas, and Rocky Rex. We are comforted knowing that Letty was received by her maternal grandmother and mother with open arms at the gates of heaven.

As we cope with this heartbreaking loss, we are also facing significant financial challenges, including $11,000 for my mom’s cancer surgery and an additional $5,000 for her burial services. The expenses of her medical treatment, including surgery and hospital care, coupled with the cost of her burial, have been overwhelming. In addition, our father is managing his own serious health issues, including diabetes and liver complications, making this a particularly trying time for our family.

We are reaching out to our community of family, friends, and kind-hearted supporters to humbly ask for your help. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward:

* Covering medical expenses related to our mother’s cancer surgery
* Alleviating the costs of her burial services
* Supporting our father’s ongoing medical care and treatment

Your generosity will help ease our financial burden and allow us to focus on healing and caring for our father. It would mean the world to us if you could share this campaign to reach others who may be able to help.

Thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this heartbreaking time.

With heartfelt gratitude,
The Ruvalcaba Jauregui Family
