A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! For those of you who don't know Ruari's story, he was diagnosed with DORV (double outlet right ventricle) while still in the womb. After he was born, he was also diagnosed with tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia. Ruari has a very rare and complex heart condition. He has been put on ECMO (life support) twice, has had two open heart surgeries, and at least nine cardiac catheterizations. He is the definition of a warrior, and we are so proud of him and all he has accomplished!

Our sweet boy is now facing another open heart surgery—this one even bigger than before, with five to six procedures in one go. His cardiology team has decided to send him to Stanford in California because of the expertise required for this surgery. We are excited for the opportunity, but also scared and extremely anxious. The team expects us to be there for at least four weeks, which is a long time to be away from home and work.
