Help Ruan compete at the World Armwrestling Championship!

Hi. My Name is Hanno Uys and I am raising funds for my son, Ruan Uys, to attend the 2025 World Arm Wrestling Championship in Bulgaria from September 10th to 22nd 2025.

Ruan has worked extremely hard to reach the Top Level in his class and at age 16, he defeated opponents up to the age of 18 to win the Junior 90+ Champion in South Africa for left arm and second with the right arm. As a father I am extremely proud of him and would absolutely love to make his dream come true to attend the World Championship.

I remember how devastated I was as a 16 year old when I qualified for a Prestige Band who would go on to travel to Taiwan. Back then we didn't have a Go Fund Me or the likes and my parents were poor. So I missed out as we could not afford the cost of travel. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity which to this day I regret missing. I don't want my son to lose out like I did. And unfortunately due to our circumstances I can not afford the total bill.

These funds will help to pay for his flight from South Africa, his South African colors, his accommodation, meals and registration fees and some pocket money. Cost estimates are below:
