The Rizal Tech University (RTU) College of Business and Entrepreneurial Technology’s students are in need of financial support due to the demands of distance learning. Rizal Tech University is a state university in Mandaluyong and Pasig, Philippines, and students are in need of new or used gadgets, tablets, laptops, or computer units, data/internet cards, and technological accessories like headsets, webcams, and microphones.
In this time of distance learning during the pandemic, there are 45 students who have no technology to attend online classes. They are in need of gadgets to continue their education and have been borrowing gadgets from the school which can be an inconvenience. Many are struggling due to the demands of distance learning and are resorting to withdrawing or dropping their enrollment for the semester. Your donation will be able to directly support these students. Money raised will be used to purchase internet load cards and Android smartphones, so these students can access their online classes on their own.
In the Philippines, it costs about $10-20 for 1 month of prepaid internet data connection and about $100 for basic smartphones. Donations of all sizes make an impact, and we will give updates throughout this fundraising process to ensure that every dollar is going towards supporting the students of RTU.
