Help Rozetta Rebuild After Job Loss

Donation protected
My name is Rozetta, and I’ve dedicated my life to helping others in the mental health field and more recently as a provisional licensed therapist in addictions. I never imagined I’d find myself in this position—unemployed, struggling to make ends meet, and fighting to keep my head above water. After being wrongfully terminated from my job, I’ve been applying for every position I can, but my provisional license limits the opportunities available to me. I’ve applied for another provisional license, but that will still require me to work under paid supervision for about two more years before I can practice fully independently. Until then, my options remain limited, and I’m doing everything I can to move forward. Recently I learned that my NC license would not be granted because when I graduated from Liberty University in 2012 it was not accredited. The NC Board informed me that I would have to get my license in SC become fully licensed within 2 years and they would give me my license with reciprocity. What this now means is I might have to work in SC which means I may be forced to live there if I can't find a remote position.

In addition to my work as a therapist, I’ve run Everything’s From the Heart Boutique for many years. This year has been especially hard for my business. I’ve lost money on storage and selling spaces, and with online sales slowing down, my ordering accounts have been stopped, making it impossible to bring in new inventory. I’m doing everything I can to keep the boutique afloat, but it’s been overwhelming trying to move inventory and manage expenses.

I have always tried to make it on my own without asking for help, but this is where I am—even though I didn’t ask to be here, nor did I do anything to be terminated. I truly believe that God has something better for me, and I’m trying to trust in that, even when it’s hard and the bills are due. I am grateful for my family and friends who have supported me and my business, and I know that every bit of support can make a difference. I have over 4,000 friends on Facebook, and I hope that by sharing my story, it will reach people who may want to help or even have an employment opportunity for me. I hope to be back to work in a few weeks, but I know I need to prepare because the economy is getting harder by the day. Right now, my most urgent needs are covering my rent, paying off a recent tire purchase for my truck (which I need for work), and handling a handful of smaller bills. Survival mode is draining, but I’m reaching out for help so I can keep my home and continue working toward a stable future. Any support will make a real difference as I work to rebuild and move forward.
