Help Roz WIN This Battle!

Hello Family and Friends. My name is Shelli Burch. With her family’s permission, I am raising money for my best friend of over 40 years, Rosalynn Young-LaVaughn. Roz is an amazing person who believes in helping others. It would be nothing for her to share love, travel to spend time with people in need, give what she could, and make sure to lend her ear to those who needed a release. She likes designing ways to present events and special occasions so that people will experience joy in their lives. Her goal is to continue doing that, but now she needs your love and support.

In the first quarter of 2021, Rosalynn had a fall that caused some physical and neurological damage. There was a plan to get it treated which wasn’t working. She suffered from ear problems and weakness in her body. In October, she broke her ankle. While healing from the surgery, we received the devastating news a few days before Christmas. Rosalynn was afflicted with a stage three Brain tumor that was causing the weakness and various other disorders plaguing her body.

Since being diagnosed with the tumor, Rosalynn has had a biopsy on her Brain, intensive radiation and chemotherapies, numerous blood and platelet infusion, and then an infection caused some complications in her lungs and breathing. Currently, she is on a ventilator but is working every day to wean herself off the machine so she can go back to fighting the tumor (which is now dormant) and live a life of helping others.

We need your help for Rosalynn to continue fighting. Medical bills are mounting, and she needs help to continue paying for various treatments that are giving her the ability to fight cancer and be a success story of overcoming the odds. We believe she will have one of the greatest testimonies! All money raised will go to Rosalynn’s mounting medical bills and costs and any living adjustments that may need to be made once she is home. We’ll keep this site updated on her progress. It is our goal to inspire others that they too can overcome any situation that might seem dire, which is especially true when people come together to help one another.
