Royal is our 12-year-old dog, and he’s been a beloved member of our family since we rescued him as a puppy abandoned in the street. He’s always been in great health, but recently he was diagnosed with transitional cell carcinoma cancer. Without treatment, Royal was given just four months to live, but with treatment, he could have years left to spend with us. This diagnosis has been heartbreaking, especially since we lost our other dog of 19 years just two years ago. Our 10-month-old baby has grown very close to Royal, and seeing their bond brings us so much happiness.

Royal has always had a wonderful attitude, greeting each day with a wagging tail and a playful spirit. He has a ton of energy and loves going to the park to run around, and he’s always chasing our three rescue cats through the house. Royal is a dog who doesn’t like it when people leave the room—he wants everyone to be together and has so much love to give. His joyful presence reminds us to find happiness in the little moments, and he brings our family closer every day.

I have several health conditions myself, which makes it difficult for us to cover the cost of Royal’s treatments. Over the years, I’ve donated to many fundraisers and GoFundMe campaigns, helped raise money for adoption fees at kill shelters, and rescued four other animals. Royal has always been my light during tough times, especially when I struggled with infertility for years. He’s brought so much joy and comfort to our lives, and with little family around, he truly is no different than a child to us.
