Help Royal Beat Cancer!

(EDIT: As of June 18th, 2025, Royal's cancer had gotten too much and I had to make the difficult decision to put her down. Thank you to everyone who donated. Even though we didn't reach out goal, just know your money was not in vain and was used to pay for her private cremation and getting her ashes back. She was my cranky old lady and I made sure she knew that so many people cared about her enough to help us.)

Hello to all,

My name is Mandy and I am the owner of a 14-year-old tortoiseshell cat named Royal. I've been taking care of her since the 7th grade, and she's my best friend in the whole world. This January, I received the news that a lump of hers (that a previous vet told me was just a mass growth) has cancer. We were given the option of making her comfortable for as long as we can or getting her an amputation to get rid of the leg containing the mass. As a college student and party princess (as in a children's entertainment character performer) who works on commission, I cannot pay for this out of pocket, and her pet insurance has refused to pay for the surgery. If we can raise money to amputate her leg, we have a chance at prolonging her life.
