Help Roy Weaks Heal and Recover

This fundraiser is being organized and facilitated by the family of Charles Roy Weaks.

Roy Weaks is a long-time Cameron, TX resident. Recently, Roy has run into some unexpected and costly health issues. Back in the '80s, Roy had an accident where he fell off an oil rig and sustained many injuries. To this day, he has an open sore on his leg due to this accident. This sore has flared up and caused much pain as well as a bone infection. Roy has to get wound care three times a week to get care for his leg. He has also been receiving infusions twice a day to get rid of the bone infection. These infusions will continue through October. Roy has to pay for the infusion medication and wound care along with all of the normal doctor's appointments and medical needs that a man in his 70s needs. Roy has also had a couple of emergency visits within the last month because of clots in the PICC line where he receives his infusions, which has led to the line needing to be replaced. This and the ER visits are other costs that have piled on top of everything else. Roy makes it through month to month on a disability check. This is not enough to take care of his medical needs in this tough season.
