My name is Roy Michael Fales. This is my kitty Teeg. He was recently diagnosed with Gastrointestinal Lymphoma. A deadly disease if left untreated. He has been my best pal for 8 years. He is very loving and gives me kisses. He is always near me and sleeps at the foot of my bed. I have always had cats. I lost one to a neighbor who had put out rat poison on his property. It broke my heart. I waited a year before I knew it was time to bond with a new kitty. I searched the rescue pages on the web. I saw his photo and knew he was the one and his name was Roy. What could be a better sign? I called the phone number and was told that he was to be put to sleep because the thinking was a cat will not bond once they reach 6 months old. I went there immediately. We bonded instantly and I took him home. We have spent 8 loving years together. Three years later he returned the favor by saving my life. I have COPD and know the tight feeling in my chest so I wasn't too worried about it this time. On the 4th evening I was feeling very poorly and he jumped in my lap with a very worried almost frantic look on his face and licked my face all over. He had never done this before. I had heard about animals reacting to their owner's sickness and I felt that was what he was doing. I went to the hospital and 2 hours later I had 2 stents and an 85% blockage that was removed. I had no idea I was having a heart attack but he knew. He saved my life and now I need to save his. I have already spent over $1000 dollars just on diagnostics and the Vet says that the whole process could cost over $7000. I don't have it.
