Help Roy Ramos and Family in Their Time of Need

My name is Araceli Talavera and I'm fundraising on behalf of my sister Ana, my brother-in-law Roy, and their family.

Roy Ramos was diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer in March of this year (2025). During the second week of August, he was placed in hospice care.

Prior to his diagnosis, he was working to support his family, attending school and soccer events for his 13-year-old son Damian, taking care of his 2-year-old son Emiliano, and spending time with his 21-year-old daughter Lupita. Roy was enjoying life, so it was a shock when he discovered he was sick.

Since his diagnosis, Roy has undergone radiation and chemo treatments. He has been hoping to rebound and resume activities with his family, but a number of setbacks with treatment and infections have meant long and constant visits to the hospital over the past few months, and now hospice.

During treatments, Roy has been unable to work. Additionally, his wife Ana has taken a leave of absence from work to be a full-time caretaker for Roy, along with caring for her children. This has left the family with no income in recent months, and Ana will not be able to return to work while caring for Roy.

While Ana’s and Roy’s families have stepped up to help, both financially and with helping their children, this time is very difficult, including financially. We are looking to the community to support Roy, Ana, and their family in their time of need. Thank you for your support.
