Roy has been my loyal companion since I found him on the street in 2020. He was left alone at a young age, and bringing him into my life was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Over the past five years, Roy has become a cherished member of our family, always ready to cheer me up with his playful spirit. He’s a bit shy at first, but once he warms up, he loves going on walks with me and perching on my right shoulder, his favorite spot. Roy has seen me through my lowest moments and welcomed new cats and dogs into our home, making our family circle even stronger.

About two months ago, I noticed a small lump on Roy’s muscle. At first, it didn’t seem serious, but as it grew, I became increasingly worried. My parents were hesitant to take action because of the potential costs, which made the situation even more stressful. On August 12, we finally took Roy to the vet. The doctor assured us that Roy was otherwise healthy—he’s eating and drinking well—but the tumor is starting to limit his movement and quality of life. The vet recommended surgery to remove the tumor, but the expenses are overwhelming for us right now. We’re still waiting for the final estimate, but I know that getting Roy this surgery is crucial for his comfort and happiness.
