Help Roy and Ruth Rebuild After Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
Our friends, Roy and Ruth Bender, were enjoying their golden years as full-time park hosts for the MWR (Morale, Wellness, and Recreation department for the US Army).
They were living in their RV full-time and spent their days making Pointes West Army Resort an enjoyable experience for soldiers and veterans.
When Hurricane Helene hit Georgia, their RV tipped over with them still inside.
By the grace of God, they were unharmed, but shortly after the RV tipped, a large tree fell on it, destroying nearly everything they own.
Their insurance is barely covering the cost of the RV alone, so nearly all of their earthly goods are a total loss. They are currently making do with little more than the clothes they were wearing when they escaped the wreckage.
We’d like to raise funds to help them recover their lost belongings like clothes and household items. It is extremely difficult to have to start over, and even more so at a late stage in life.
There are many people in need of assistance in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, so if you’d like to be a part of their recovery and help this couple get back on their feet, please consider giving today.
