My name is Gina, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend Roxann, who many of us lovingly call Roxy. She has been fighting for her life since March of last year, and she urgently needs support as she faces the most critical stage of her medical journey.

In March of last year, Roxy was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. She underwent major surgery to remove her colon and bravely completed months of chemotherapy. What many people don’t know is that Roxy had already been living with serious liver disease for years — she was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) in 2017 and later developed non‑alcohol–related cirrhosis in 2019.

Because her liver was already so damaged, the stress of chemotherapy caused her liver function to decline rapidly, pushing her into end‑stage liver failure.

Today, Roxy needs a liver transplant to survive.

Recently, things became even more frightening. She spent nearly two weeks in a touch‑and‑go condition, and then her kidneys began to fail. She was admitted to the ICU in kidney failure, where doctors worked around the clock to stabilize her. She is slowly improving, but her kidney numbers are still not where they need to be, and she remains hospitalized.

On top of all of this, Roxy has lost her job and has no income while she fights for her life. She is facing overwhelming medical bills, transplant‑related expenses, and basic living costs with no financial safety net.

I’m raising funds to help cover:

Temporary housing or travel if required for transplant

Basic living expenses while she is unable to work

Support during her long recovery
