Help Roxy the Therapy Dog Fight Cancer

My sweet girl Roxy, just three years old, was diagnosed with an aggressive dog cancer on October 14, 2024. I never thought I would be in this position, and it breaks my heart to receive this news and ask for support. Roxy vomited eight times, and whilst comforting her, I discovered a large lump on her stomach. After an emergency vet visit, I learned she needs surgery to remove the mast cell tumor (MCT) to give her the best chance of survival. As I write this, she is in surgery. I remain hopeful that we have caught it in time and that the cancer has not spread to her lymph nodes. This diagnosis is rare for a young three year old dog, and I’m absolutely devastated.

Roxy has been my amazing therapy dog, helping me through my struggles with PTSD, she is my child and my best friend. Roxy has done so much for me and brought love to so many. I owe it to her, to give her the best chance at fighting this cancer. As I approach my 18th birthday and Year 12 external exams, I am determined to give her the same care and strength she's given me. Unfortunately, my part-time job won't be enough to cover the unexpected costs of her treatment. Anything helps and we are extremely gracious.
