Help Roxie Love and Me Get Home

My name is Ndeja, and I’m raising funds to help my dog Roxie Love and me return home to the United States from Mexico. Roxie Love is more than just my service animal—she’s an extension of myself, always by my side through every challenge. We’ve been in Mexico for over six months, and while I’ve loved our time here, staying longer than allowed puts us both at risk. The thought of being separated from Roxie Love because of legal issues is frightening, and I’m determined to keep us together no matter what.

Our journey to Mexico was smooth, with Roxie Love traveling as a registered service animal. But when it was time to return, unexpected complications arose. Despite following all CDC guidelines for her vaccinations, a last-minute requirement from another health department meant we couldn’t board our flight home. I did everything I could to meet the airline’s standards, however American Airlines denied her as my service animal, Which I don’t even understand to be legal. Now Roxie Love can only travel through cargo, which requires expensive third-party services. My airline ticket will only be refunded as a credit, and I simply can’t afford the additional costs to get us both home safely.

Roxie Love has been my constant support, especially on my worst days. Her presence gives me hope and comfort, and I will not leave her behind. I’ve tried every option available, but now I’m reaching out for help. Your support will go directly toward the travel and cargo services needed to reunite us with our home in the United States.
