Hi Everyone. I set up this gofundme account for my aunt Roxanne. She recently was diagnosed with lung cancer, stage 4 adenocarcinoma . She was seen at UNMC for a PETscan and they discovered the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes, and bones including ribs, spine, and pelvis. She will have an MRI in the next few weeks to make sure the cancer has not spread to the brain. While there is no cure for this type of cancer, there are treatments to prolong her life. We will know more about which treatment will work best for her in the next few weeks.

As many of you know, the past 2 years have been tough for her. She got a severe infection after she had an injection in her wrist after a fall. Roxanne ended up having 9 surgeries between her wrist and shoulder. Ultimately, she was let go from her job and lost her health insurance. She was forced to get a high deductible plan with minimal coverage. Her current insurance will not cover the treatments needed to prolong her life.

For those of you that know her, you know she in a godsend. Roxanne has a heart of gold and is always there for everyone. She is the backbone of our family, a caring sister, a second mother to me and my sister, an amazing Aunt to all her nieces and nephews, the best caregiver and companion. Roxanne has put together countless benefits for others in their time of need. She now needs our help! The funds raised will go directly to Roxanne’s treatment.
