Help Roxane fight Pancreatic Cancer

Hi, my name is Sandra and I am raising funds to help a very special friend, Roxane Twisdale. Roxane was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and has begun her journey through this horrendous disease.

Roxane is a dear friend to many of us. All of last year, Roxy gave her time and love to my own Mother. She supported me, helped me and was always there for me & Mom. It was a tough year and Roxy stayed with me through it all.

Roxy worked side by side with me in Rescue Pet Photography for several years. Even on days she felt bad she wouldn't give up. She wanted those dogs to find forever homes. In addition to wrangling dogs for photos, Roxane volunteered with Tipton County Paws and Claws. Running errands, transporting animals, cleaning, helping around the center & playing with the dogs and cats. Roxane also fostered many dogs in her home with her own dogs.

Roxy has had several health issues over the years. Now she has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer at 53 years old. Cancer is the most frightening diagnosis and your world stops when you hear it. Her stage of cancer is yet to be determined officially - but her surgeon indicated this has been caught early. (that is good news).

There are many bills that mount up - even with insurance in place. Your daily life changes and you are dependent on people. Roxy can use the support of friends during this time to help with medical expenses as they are only beginning. Hospital stays, test, scans, medicine, and transportation all add up. Chemo alone will range $12,000 to $50,000 for EACH treatment for pancreatic cancer.

Roxane will be having her port (for chemo) installed and diagnostic laparoscopic to see if anything has spread. (Again, he said this is caught very early!) This is an outpatient surgery- next week. Then she will be starting chemo for several weeks (or months) before she has the surgery to remove the tumor.

Every one keeps asking, what can you do...

NOBODY FIGHTS ALONE!! The one who has GIVEN so much ... now needs help!!

Roxane doesn't want anyone to feel sorry for her. She is strong and strong willed ~ she is a fighter and will fight this disease.

Lastly, please keep Roxane in your prayers and on your church prayer list. Pray for healing. Pray for comfort. Pray for peace. Pray for Roxane to have strength everyday to keep on fighting. As this is a tough battle, chemo is hard to endure and major surgery is hard. Also, keep her family in your prayers. They are fighting this battle with her and they need God to hold them in the palm of His hand while they journey this terrible disease with Roxane.
