However, the heavy wind had different ideas and caught Rowan's vehicle and trailer in a strong gust, causing her to lose control and roll over into a ditch, landing upside down. Luckily, Rowan's injuries were limited to a concussion and a gash on her face, and her brother and the cats were fine. Her car and trailer/home were totaled, however, setting Rowan back substantially.
It is unclear still how helpful insurance will be, but Rowan is determined to return to school in only a couple weeks. She is inclined to try the whole move over again with a new (used) truck and new (used) trailer, as it is the most affordable way for her to finish her degree program in San Francisco. However, she is currently staying with family and using a borrowed vehicle to get around. Your donations are greatly appreciated, which Rowan will use to put together the down payment so that she can replace her home and vehicle, regain her independence, and finish her degree.
Rowan is an unfailingly positive, thoughtful, and hardworking person, who has contributed in so many ways to her school community, Indigenous support networks, and other groups. She always works towards helping others, businesses, and the planet. Your contributions will help her continue her important work, finish her degree, and begin working to help businesses become more sustainable. Please pass this along to help get Rowan back on her feet!
