Help Rowan Keep Their Car and Support Their Mom

Hello, my name is Rowan, a lot of you know me online as Gooby. I am making this GoFundMe as a last resort, desperate attempt at getting help.

At the end of August, 2024, I lost my job after I came out as transgender. Since then, I have been doing everything I can to find a job. I tried to get food stamps and was denied, I had a small amount of unemployment for about 2 months. I have been struggling with my mental health, alongside my physical health, all while trying to do what I could to get by. I had to let credit cards go to collections, I had to stop taking important medications, and had to stop making payments on my car.

In February of this year, my stepfather passed away. I have been doing everything I can to support my mother through this loss as well as grieving. Since he passed away, my mother has been in the hospital 4 times with life-threateningly low sodium levels and has nearly had a stroke. She also had a biopsy done, and it turns out that she has a cancerous growth in her mouth, cancerous lymph nodes in her neck, and will have to have major surgery in the next few days.

As of 06/11/2025, I was hired on as a part-time worker. I thought things were beginning to get better. This morning I called the bank and was told that my car is now set for repossession and my only options are: it gets repossessed or I settle and pay $16,000 within 30 days.

I have no savings left and haven't even worked enough for a paycheck yet. My mother will be on a feeding tube with a tracheostomy when released from the hospital and will need me to drive to her to care for her while she makes a slow recovery. She lives an hour away, and my job is also a bit of a commute. I cannot lose my car, not when I finally have a job, not when my mom needs me more than ever before.

I am begging, with everything that I am, to please help me. Please share this as much as possible, please.
