Route-29. Not the road… but the band. And as a band, we could not be more excited to announce and share with y’all, that we are in the early stages of producing an album (our first full-length LP). What does that mean exactly? It means, we are in the midst of dozens of hours within the studio tracking and preparing to mix 12 brand new songs for you lovely people. Along with this new material, we will be filming music videos, creating new merchandise, and preparing to play these new tracks for you on the road by the end of this season! All in all we are engaging in a new medium for the band that will build the blocks to raise us as high and as far as we can go under this banner of “Route-29.”
So… why are we telling you all of this “top secret” information! Well, quite simply, we can’t do it without you. In order to effectively produce and promote this album to the standards of this industry, we need your help. Whether it’s word of mouth, social media or monetary donations, you will be playing a ginormous role in launching us into the next stage for this project!
If you haven’t heard of us… or you’re just now checking us out, here’s a little info to better get to know one another. The earliest “conception” of the band was in 2013, as two preteen cousins (Jansen Beals and Dylan Pierce) grabbed an acoustic guitar and started signing up for local open mics. Within a couple of years, the band slowly began to mold into a fuller sound. By 2016, Asher Hurt had joined the “high-school” band on bass, and the three musicians (with the help of siblings and friends) began to gig more extensively. In 2019, the band released its first project, “Catechism.” By the end of the year, they had released another single, “It’s Just Okay” (which still proves to be a fan favorite and often a closer to hometown shows). 2020 yielded another single (“Holding On”) and another EP (“Letters From the Milky Way: Chapter- I”), and the band’s first music video. But most importantly, it solidified Route-29’s lineup, as Ryan Strong and Kyle Van Dyke officially jumped on board. 2021 produced six more tracks on “Letters From the “Milky Way: Chapter- II,” and a plethora of live performances as the band slowly began to mold into a more complete sound. So now, in 2022, we are the most cohesive and free we have ever been and could not be more proud of the new sound and energy we are ready to bring for y’all.
Thank you for every ounce of encouragement and support you have given us in the last nine years, and for all the continued support as we leap forward into this endeavor.
Lastly, here's a small taste of our new sound.
