Help Rotor Werks race the Baja XL for charity.

What happens when a group of friends from the Canadian helicopter industry get bored?
They get together drink a few beers and the B.S. starts flowing. One loves Mexico, another loves motorsports and the third has nothing else better to do. A plan is hatched to drive 4000 Km along the beaches and through the deserts of Mexico in the Baja XL Rally to raise funds for Vancouver and Mexican Charities.
Rotor Werks Offroad was created and needs your help to support our charities and our team.
In addition to the the official Baja XL charities, Rotor Werks has also decided to raise funds for U.B.C. based HeadsUpGuys.
HeadsUpGuys is a resource for supporting men in their fight against depression by providing tips, tools, information about professional services, and stories of success. Please take the time to visit HeadsUpGuys to see why their work is so important.
The two official charities are Corazon De Vida and Cardiostart.
Corazon De Vida provides life-changing support for orphaned and abandoned children in Baja, Mexico by funding local orphanages, providing quality of life improvement services and investing in the children’s future by funding higher education. Corazon De Vida Website
Cardiostarts mission is to educate and assist local medical teams in providing heart surgery and cardiac services to adults and children in underserved regions of the world. Cardiostart Website
Beyond the charities, racing up and down the Baja peninsula isn't cheap. We have a vehicle but we need funds to equip our ride, uniforms, registration fees, food, supplies and a wad of emergency cash.
We bought a 2000 Nissan Xterra, by no means is it a new vehicle but it has potential. To meet that potential we need your help and support.
So, how are we dividing the money raised?
It's simple, right down the middle. Half to the charities and half for the team.

How much does each charity get?
That depends on how much money we can raise, but the funds will be divided as below.
