I hope you all are well. Writing this in collaboration and on behalf of our beloved Rossana, I want to explain a little bit about her family's current situation.

Anyone who knows Rossana understands how incredible of a person she is. A Mapuche leader, founder of Valparaíso, Chile's La Resistencia Olla Común soup kitchen, mother and grandmother, Rossana has been through so much these past few years as she strives to provide for her community through cooking and caring after those around her.

Some of you may be familiar with the previous campaign for La Resistencia Olla Común that was created relatively recently, to help support Rossana's efforts in feeding over 750 people daily. Now Rossana and her family personally need our help.

Cooking in their apartment's cramped kitchen and utilizing her own patio to prepare dishes everyday, Rossana's family has now been told they need to move by the end of this month. This is simply because neighbors were complaining about the smell of food, of all things. They have found a new place to stay yet do not possess the funds to be able and make this happen. Two months' guarantee is required up front plus October's rent, altogether amounting to about $2,133.32 USD.

As Rossana tells me, she is desperate right now. Her elder son's name is on the lease and he has already experienced repercussions due to the situation; meanwhile, they need to be out of the apartment within a week.

For me, this campaign is even more significant than the last because Rossana works every single day to provide for her people and put them first, yet now she is the one who needs community support. I implore you to donate if you can, and share this page with your networks. No one should be put in this situation, least of all because they were trying to cook for others. So let's help secure Rossana and her family housing!
