If you’ve ever met Rosie, you know she’s the sweetest, happiest girl. She loves beach walks, meeting new people, and making everyone she meets smile. She’s more than our dog—she’s family.

Just days ago, our world turned upside down. One day, Rosie was her happy, playful self. The next, she suddenly lost the use of her back legs and was in excruciating pain. After rushing her to the emergency veterinary hospital, we learned she was suffering from Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD)—a condition where a spinal disc ruptures and compresses the spinal cord. It can happen suddenly, even during normal everyday activities, and without any warning signs. To give Rosie the best chance of walking again, she urgently needed an L1-L2 hemilaminectomy, a specialized spinal surgery to relieve the pressure on her spinal cord. The surgery and emergency medical care have totaled $14,739. We are covering as much of the cost as we possibly can, but we’re asking for help raising $7,000 to help ease the financial burden and ensure Rosie receives the care and rehabilitation she needs.

Watching Rosie go from running on the beach to being unable to walk has been absolutely heartbreaking. But we’re holding onto hope. Her veterinary team believes surgery gives her the best chance at recovery, and we’re committed to doing everything we can to help her heal. If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small. Every contribution brings Rosie one step closer to standing, walking, and hopefully one day running again. If you’re not in a position to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family would mean so much to us. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for keeping Rosie in your thoughts. We can’t wait for the day she’s back chasing adventures, greeting everyone with her wagging tail, and enjoying the beach she loves so much.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Rosie’s Family
