Victoria, her daughter, became her power of attorney and used Rosie's small savings to cover the costs of her care, hoping to sell her home to supplement her expenses to then apply for Medicaid. Unfortunately, legal complications prevented the sale of her home, and after nearly a year of working with lawyers, the family learned that Rosie could not qualify for Medicaid because her home is considered an investment.

During this time, Rosie's savings were depleted, and Victoria took out loans to cover the cost of her care. Now, with no funds left and unable to sell the home, the family faces a financial shortfall starting in May. The only option left is to pursue guardianship, which will take at least six months in court and require additional legal fees.

The funds raised through this campaign will help Rosie in her current memory care facility, where she has been for almost two years and continues to receive quality care. If enough is raised, it will also help cover legal fees needed to secure guardianship. There are no words to convey how much Victoria and her sister appreciate any donation to help keep their mom in the care facility as she continues to suffer from Alzheimer's.
