Help Rosie Miller rebuild after losing everything in fire!

She Spent Her Life Taking Care of Others. Now She’s Lost Everything.

Today, June 4th, is Rosie Miller’s 79th birthday—but instead of celebrating, she’s facing one of the hardest chapters of her life.

On the afternoon of April 1, 2025, a devastating fire tore through Rosie’s home in Williamson, NY, reducing everything she owned to ashes. In a matter of moments, a lifetime of memories, warmth, and stability was gone. The fire marshal deemed what little remained uninhabitable. Her home must now be demolished, but with support, she can begin the courageous journey of rebuilding her life from the ground up.

But this story is about so much more than a house. It’s about a woman who has spent nearly eight decades giving everything she had to everyone around her. At just 9 years old, Rosie was picking cotton under the scorching Mississippi sun. She helped raise her three younger siblings, sacrificing her own childhood so they could have a better future. She never graduated high school, but that never held her back. Rosie beat the odds, moving to Upstate New York, working tirelessly, and holding down a steady job at Xerox Corporation for over 38 years to provide for her family, until she finally retired at age 65.

The fire didn’t just take her home—it shattered everything Rosie spent a lifetime building.

Her brother and grandson lived with her. Tragically, her brother was severely injured in the fire and now faces a long, painful recovery. By the grace of God, her grandson escaped unharmed. And miraculously, Rosie wasn’t home at the time.

But she lost everything—her clothes, furniture, treasured family photos, even her medications and daily necessities. The life she worked so hard to create was reduced to ash in a single afternoon.

What breaks our hearts most is that Rosie is currently battling breast cancer. In the middle of treatment, she’s now being forced to start over from absolutely nothing.

Her homeowner’s insurance won’t come close to covering the cost of the rebuild. And living on a fixed income, she simply cannot shoulder this burden alone.

As her son, I’ve always taken pride in being strong and self-reliant. But today, I’m humbly asking for help, because this is more than one person or one family can handle.

We’re raising funds to help Rosie with:

Immediate living expenses (clothing, food, daily essentials)

Temporary housing

Finding and furnishing a new home

Replacing vital items like furniture, appliances, clothing, and household goods

Helping her feel safe, supported, and whole again

Your donation—no matter the size—will make a real difference. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page. And most importantly, please keep Rosie in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for showing up for a woman who has always shown up for others.

With gratitude,
Chuck (Lil Chas, Charles) Greene
