Rosie is a 4 year 10 month old pittie/staffy mix who has faced more than her share of heartbreak. On June 10th, she lost her beloved mom, her senior brother Bulleit who was battling cancer, and her home—all in a single day. Rosie is now safe in a foster home with a close friend of her mom, but she needs our help to heal and find a new beginning.
Rosie’s journey hasn’t been easy. As a puppy, she was found behind a dumpster with a broken jaw, but her resilience and loving spirit have always shone through. She’s deeply attached to those she loves, showing affection with cuddles, kisses, and her signature zoomies. Rosie loves sunbathing, watching Disney movies, and napping on her fortress of pillows. She’s the kind of dog who senses when you’re hurting—when I lost my own dog, Zeus, Rosie was right there to comfort me, just as she always did for her mom during tough times. Her loyalty and empathy make her truly special.
Right now, Rosie is working with Tenasity - Canine Behavior Specialist to help her adjust and become adoptable. She’s also in need of vet care, including vaccinations, bloodwork, and a heartworm test. Because she’s nervous at the vet, she sometimes needs to be muzzled and sedated for procedures, but she’s making progress. Funds raised will go directly toward her training and medical needs, giving Rosie the best chance at a happy, healthy future in a loving home. We’re sharing her story across Petfinder, Adopt Me, Lifeline Family to Family, social media, and with Kaitlyn Ross from 11Alive, as well as local rescues, hoping to find her the family she deserves. Supporting Rosie is what her mom, Alaina, would have wanted most. Help us give Rosie the second chance she needs.
