Hi everyone, this is really hard for me to ask, but I’m trying to do the best I can for my 14-year-old cat, Rosie.
Rosie was taken to the emergency vet over the weekend after developing a medical issue that required immediate care. Thankfully, that medical issue has now been stabilized, but during her follow-up appointment at the veterinarian, she was also found to have a heart condition.
So far, I’ve spent over $3,000 on emergency and follow-up veterinary care, including the ER visit, diagnostics, and stabilization. The discovery of her heart problem has significantly changed her treatment options.
Because of her heart condition, any further treatment, including decisions about anesthesia, medication, or possible procedures, now requires evaluation by a veterinary cardiologist. Unfortunately, the cost of cardiology care and ongoing monitoring is more than I can afford on my own.
Rosie has been my companion for over twelve years. She is gentle, loving, and has been with me through some of the hardest moments of my life. Making medical decisions for an older cat while facing escalating medical costs has been emotionally and financially overwhelming.
I’m asking for help so that I can pursue the safest and most humane care options for Rosie, whether that means specialty heart evaluation, medical management, or comfort-focused care that prioritizes her quality of life.
Any support, no matter how small, would mean so much.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this helps more than you know.
Thank you for caring about Rosie!
