His name is Michael Rosenberg, but to most of us, his friends, his family, or anyone who has met him, seen him, or even just heard of him, he's just Rosey.

About two months ago someone tried to take everything from Rosey, including his life. The victim of a terrifying home invasion, Rosey was robbed, shot in the head, and left for dead. Having other plans, Michael miraculously held on. Almost a full day after the assault, he was found clinging to life by his worried friends, and immediately rushed to the trauma unit.

Now we know what you're thinking: why would this fun loving, jolly, generous, happy, honest, and every other adjective that describes a good person and a better friend, deserve this fate? Sadly, no one can answer that, nor is it important right now. The only thing that is, is his strength and will to survive.

Rosey already fought through the hardest part. Through a full month in a hospital bed without his loving and recently deceased parents by his side, he fought. Through another lonely month at an inpatient rehab facility, he fought. With his closest kin 200 miles away and not able to be there all the time, he fought. With friends by his side as often as possible, but not all the time, he fought.

Now, he continues to fight, but thankfully no longer for his life, rather his livelihood. With a bullet lodged in his brain, reduced vision, and the loss of many basic brain functions (including severe memory impairment), things that we all take for granted, he fights.

We all want Rosey to be the man he was, the guy that cheers at the quietest moment during a rock concert, the guy that'll dance out of his shoes at a wedding, the guy that can't help but make you fall over laughing. We all want Rosey to live the life he deserves, a life full of love, smiles, music, laughs, and some of the most unconventional wisdom you've ever heard.

They took everything from Michael, but not his spirit. He has no parental support, no money, no insurance, no assets: all he has is you.

Today is Michael Seth Rosenberg's 32^nd birthday, a birthday that we weren't so sure he'd see, and all we ask is that you please find it in your heart to give him a little birthday present. His parents brought Michael into this world 32 years ago, and now the rest of his family and friends, need to come together and save him.
