After dropping Ian off at work Wednesday morning I noticed a dog curled up on the side walk outside of Detroit Diesel near Outer Drive. Unfortunately, the dog became frightened when approached. I later returned with my friend Kaitlin who ended up spending all day and evening attempting to catch this speedy, frightened and exhausted pup. Thankfully, with the help of a live trap, Kaitlin was able to successfully secure this brindle beauty who we are calling Rosey. We believe she may have been dumped because she was very determined to stay close to Outer Drive.
We asked multiple dog rescues, animal control and even the police for assistance, but it was ultimately Kaitlin’s determination that helped save Rosey.
while Rosey is now resting comfortably in her temporary home, she has an infected neck wound and large right ear mass. We do not have an exact dollar amount for Rosey’s treatment at this time, but I will make sure to post as update as soon as she is able to see a vet.
Thank you in advance to anyone who is willing to help
