Help Rosey Baudo Get Life-Saving Surgery

It is with great hope that this reaches willing and generous hearts that are able to help in our family’s very vulnerable time of need. My name is Courtney Baudo (Golder). I am Alex Baudo’s sister and Rosey Baudo’s sister in law . However, Rosey is much more than simply legal terminology to me and our family. She is my sister by love. Rose and her three children were introduced into our family over 10 years ago . Alex and Rosey unquestionably have a love for each other that is palpable to anyone that knows them. When you know you know , and they knew. Rosey and Alex have been inseparable since they met and officially married within a year. Rosey and her three children became an extension of ours and without question a blessing. She and Alex brought aboard two more children together and they both arrived just as suddenly and unexpectedly as the love they found in each other . Rosey and I similarly have always been very attuned to one another in such a special way (and in true sister like fashion, in so many ways). She and I even shared pregnancy together with our middles… born within a week of each other. The two of them share a unique bond to this day and yet are polar opposites. We have all truly been so grateful watching all of our children growing up and sharing the sweetest of memories, milestones and adventures together. We are deeply prayerful to see many more as I’m sure many of us hope for. It is with a pain I cannot describe to say that Rose has recently been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer that started in her abdomen . She has tumors that have spread to her liver and various other areas of her body. While She has responded well to chemo so far she will require an extensive surgery that cannot be done locally, but seems to be promising. It is crucial for life. The travel expenses , along with the medical bills that are far beyond what insurance will cover , as well as being displaced from their home for awhile and away from their children (with the two smallest being only 8 and 6) puts them both and their kids in a heartbreaking position for a surgery she desperately needs. As a single income family, this has naturally taken a toll trying to juggle work, especially during these times to provide for their family, but also to ensure Rosey gets the care she needs with all her treatments, caring for her at home and taking care of their youngest children still in elementary school . The mental toll of all the uncertainty she faces , not to mention the financial strain is an unfathomable load for anyone . Rose has shown nothing short of unwavering and admirable strength which she somehow manages to put on each day for herself and her family. While I am so thankful they have each other to lean on along with family close by to lend a hand if needed so she does not walk this journey a lone we need your help. When everything else seems out of our control it becomes so essential to have the support of people who care. It really and truly is so important people know they are cared for, now more than ever. On a world where so many things try to divide people , to know goodness still lives is what we all need to be reminded of. The financial aspect on the other hand is not as simple, and requires much greater effort and hurdles to overcome. I am sure they will need more than this but this is new territory to us all and based on what we know so far. The extent to what all is involved and the amount of money they’ve already had to bleed out before what is to come is jaw dropping. My brother is not typically one to ask and wouldn’t but as a sister that loves them both beyond words I cannot sit idly by if there is even a small way I can attempt to offer any relief or help however I can, whatever that looks like for whatever they need. In this case this is what we know they need and can only be met by the support and generosity from one human being to another as a community who are willing to come together to help save someone’s life . Rosey’s prognosis is hopeful, we believe and cling to that, but she needs this surgery and treatment to have the best outcome. We all would be more than grateful to anyone who is able to assist any way you can. That most certainly includes any prayers of healing, comfort, and divine guidance you might could offer . I am hoping this reaches anyone that has the ability to stand in the gap and impact a life and little lives profoundly . May your generosity and loving kindness be a testimony to us all that LOVE is in fact the greatest gift of all, even to a stranger.
Thank you for your love and support to Rosey Baudo and all of her family.
With Loving Kindness,
Courtney
