Help Rosena and Stephen Rebuild a Home & Life
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Ngoc, next door neighbor to retirees Rosena and her brother Stephen. They lost their Bennett St. Raleigh home of ~20 years this past Friday, Dec. 29th. The fire ignited about 15 minutes after they left for the grocery store. They came home to a first floor completely destroyed by fire, with nothing to salvage. The second floor has significant water and smoke damage. Their home has been condemned by the fire department, and they are awaiting insurance review to determine next steps.
In the meantime, they’ve moved into Rosena’s daughter’s home. They share it with Cheryl and her 2 children. It’s a 3 bedroom bungalow, so quite cozy with 3 adults, a teenaged son and young daughter. But, all are grateful to be alive and together.
Rosena is a widow to a military veteran and also the primary caregiver for her disabled older brother, Stephen. Both are retired.
The goal of this fund is to help Rosena and Stephen start rebuilding a life, acquire necessary items to live, pay for expenses while insurance is in process, and to contribute towards the inevitable home policy deductible to rebuild their home.
Rosena, Stephen and Cheryl are still in shock and don’t have a list of items they need immediately. This fund is to help them over time as they process and move into the next stage of their lives. They are grateful for your generosity to helping them get back on their feet. Thank you for helping them through this devastating loss.
