Hi friends,

My name is Sarah Hinds. Over the past 30 years, I've been lucky enough to have friends like family in rural Southwestern Jamaica.

Rosemarie Billings and Ozzie Rodney live in the beautiful mountains of Westmoreland in a community Cave Mountain in the Kentucky district. The mountain is mostly family land, with many sharing the Billings and Rodney names. Rosemarie and Ozzie are farmers and community leaders. They're some of the kindest and most resilient people I know, and have opened their home and hearts to me many times over the years.

Unfortunately, they were within 20 miles of the eye of Hurricane Melissa, and lost everything. Their home is gone. The electric grid is demolished. Landslides have erased roads and blocked passage in and out. They will have to start over from the very ground up.

This is a direct fundraiser, to help the Billings and Rodney families in whatever ways they deem most urgent. 100% of the proceeds will be delivered to the family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for anything you are able to give. With love and mutual support, Sarah
