Help Roseann and Daughter ~ EMERGENCY car repair expenses
Hello. My name is Roseann. On April, 4 2025, I moved out of a domestic abuse situation into a small home for my 9 year old daughter and I. The week we moved my 2018 Ford Escape broke down. All the money I had saved went to renting a vehicle for 2 weeks, a tow, and fixing my car. Shortly after that, my basement flooded when our town got hit with record flash flooding. More money gone for clean up and replacing need items ruined by the flooding.
Then on June 23, 2025, my car does again. But this time it involves the head gasket, a new turbo, on to of a dozen other things that come with trying to save my engine. What makes it even more upsetting, is that Ford is totally aware that the 2018 Ford Escapes have junk engines, and they refuse to do anything about it. It is now on July 22nd, and I may finally be able to get my car back in a few days. But with not having my own car for a month, my paychecks have mostly gone to renting vehicles to get to work. And when I haven't been able to have a rental I've had to rely on my co-workers to pick me up, which not only is a hassle for them, but it shortens each of our work hours almost by half because working in pairs slashes the time it takes to get things done.
I, of course cannot pick my car up from the mechanic without giving him full payment. I've looked into charities and trying to get a diversion cash assistance payment, but those options have not come to fruition. My parents and friends have been very generous in helping me, but understandably they have their limits too. I've done everything I can to not miss work while not having a vehicle, but how am I supposed to get to work when I can't afford rental cars anymore and I can't afford to get my car back to go to work so I can afford it?
The price he gave me a few days ago was $2000.00. I obviously do not have that. I literally have ¢25 in my bank. I'm asking for anything anyone is willing to donate. Anything will help. I hate asking for charity, but I have run out of all other options at this point and I need my vehicle. Thank you.
