Hi everyone,

My name is Monica and I’m starting this go fund me on behalf of my friend Rose, a survivor of domestic abuse who just got laid off from her job. Rose is one of the sweetest, hardest working people I know. She’s brilliant, creative, and is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She’s a creative problem solver with a heart the size of the moon.

Since leaving her abusive marriage of ten years, she’s worked so hard at discovering who she is now. She’s come out of her shell, and the closet, and is shining brightly. With that, there have been challenges. Rose has chronic health issues and is navigating a broken health system in a small town. Getting medical care has been very challenging, and a heap of medical trauma makes it that much harder for her.

Rose left behind her abuser, her family of origin, and everything she knew. She has survived childhood neglect, unimaginable abuse, toxic mold poisoning, an eating disorder, food and housing instability, and still manages to have a kind heart and a strong drive to overcome it all.

Without the help of family, who she no longer speaks to, and her old community whom she was forced to leave, she is struggling to pay her bills and meet her basic needs.

Rose is working round the clock to put her talent and charisma to good use, applying for jobs and tending to her sweet dog, cat, and bird. But she needs our help to bridge the gap between this part of her journey and the next.

Rose is also an apprentice falconer, working with birds of prey. Her way with animals and humans alike is something to aspire to. She is intuitive, caring, and has a cunning and quick wit. She’s proactive, thoughtful, and daring when need be. I know with the right help, she will soar to new heights.
