Help Rose Make EGCSD History in Wrestling

My name is Rose Kirkwood. I recently qualified to compete at the US Marine Corps National Wrestling Championships in Fargo, ND. The competition takes place this summer from July 12th - July 20th.

This is the biggest Olympic-style wrestling tournament in the world. Competing in this tournament is a critical step toward reaching my goals. However, like many things in life, I can't do this alone. It will take the help of my family, coaches, teammates, and community to help me accomplish all I have set out to do.

The cost for me to be able to compete in this tournament is $2,400. This includes air travel to and from North Dakota, uniforms, lodging, and meals for the week that I will be in Fargo, ND. Any financial assistance you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

• First NYSPHSAA sectional place finisher by a female middle schooler in EGCSD history

• Most varsity wins in a single season by a female middle schooler in EGCSD history

• Third all-time in varsity wins by a female in EGCSD history (MS & HS combined)
