I can still picture it like it was yesterday—sitting on my bed, tears streaming down my face, wondering, How did I get here?

Then my phone buzzed. Through my tears, I read: “This behavior is abusive. You are not crazy. Your feelings are valid.” In that moment, everything shifted. I had spent years advocating for women, helping others recognize abuse—yet I couldn’t see it in my own life. I realized this wasn’t just one relationship. It was a pattern I needed to understand, heal from, and break.

My journey led me to a week-long women’s retreat through Racheal’s Rest, a life-changing experience that supported my physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Through counseling, connection, and restoration, I began to rediscover my worth and strength. There, I met Dr. Karen McDonald and Susan Hixson, whose guidance inspired me to pursue a career as a facilitator—so I can one day help other women find hope and healing, just as I did. I’ve since attended a second retreat to continue learning and growing.

Now, I’ve been given the opportunity to attend their final retreat—a meaningful step in my healing and calling. But I can’t do it alone.

Due to financial realities, I’m unable to cover the cost of this journey. I’m stepping out in faith, sharing my story, and asking for help.
