My name is Bethany and I’ve done a few of these for friends of mine in the past, and they have always helped so much! My best friend in the whole world is Rose Washington. Those of you who know her know that she is one of the most kind-hearted, beautiful, funny, and giving people on this earth. She has been such a wonderful friend to me, and I have wanted to help her for a while now but just haven’t been financially able to.

A couple of years ago, she started a baking business where she baked amazing and crafty, beautiful cakes for people. It started out really good, but as time went on, it became more and more stressful. She tried to find people to employ to help her, but nobody really stuck with it. Then she went through a really horrible and heartbreaking breakup with her partner of almost 10 years. She also found herself in over her head financially, trying to pay all the bills herself with her partner gone. She has a 14-year-old son that she is a single parent to. Her dad lives in Indiana and saw she was in a tough spot and told her she could come live with him. So, she and her son packed up their stuff and uprooted their whole life to live in Indiana.

If anyone has ever dealt with depression, you know it’s very debilitating and hard to deal with life when you’re suffering from it. Rose found herself very depressed. She put in so many job applications, over 100, had interviews, but never found a job. She even applied at gas stations and restaurants. She found herself doing DoorDash, and that helped her keep her head above water as much as it could. Enter her sister… who decided that Rose shouldn’t be able to live with their father and moved him out of his own house and into hers. Her dad suffers from dementia, and his cognition isn’t the best, so he basically went along with whatever her sister said. Her sister has treated her horribly during one of the hardest times in her life. I can’t imagine watching my sister go through a breakup, moving states to try and get back on her feet, and she has also been having issues with her son not wanting to go to school. I can’t imagine watching this and making things harder on her. Her sister has basically forced her out of her dad’s house and put it on the market to sell. People are coming in and out of the house with a realtor while Rose is scrambling to try and find a place to live.

There is so much more I could include about how awful her sister has been to her, but I won’t turn this into bashing someone, as much as I would like to lol.
