Help Rose find her Voice

Howdy!!! Hello!! Hi!

I am the mother of the gorgeous little girl that you see. She is my miracle baby and the one that I thought I would never have. My body just wasn't built or made for pregnancy. I am what you call a false negative in the Rheumatoid Arthritis World, and that makes things more aggressive and not so kind. While most women go into remission, I went into rapid progression. I am one lucky woman to have carried her as long as I did and to not have lost her.

My little firecracker came in the middle of the night via emergency c-section, premature, no glucose and slammed into NICU. She graduated, but has continued to struggle with milestones since birth.

This last year has been a roller coaster ride, with her starting kindergarten and all of the struggles she had with the transition. She was also labelled and for the first time ever, not part of her entire class. Instead, she would soon realize her time would be split and most of it would be in a self contained room with a few other students.

Her growth this last year, should have been incredible. I wish that it had been an amazing first year for her and I. It was filled with stress instead. I had to step out of the classroom, where I had been since 2006 to help her navigate these waters.

I know that this is a tremendous amount of money to ask for, I truly wish that I wasn't asking and that I could just provide. Teaching and our insurance doesn't exactly provide leniency for medical or special needs.

Rose has a long path ahead of her, as her recent diagnosis of Autism is calling for a lot of different therapies. I have found a school that will provide her with one-on-one academics plus her therapies; but this comes at a hefty monthly cost. This will also not allow me to return to the traditional classroom. I am seeking to either teacher from a more flexible schedule online, a school close to her new school that will be somewhat flexible, or retrain myself in a new field.

No matter what... Rose has to gain her voice.
Speaking with her pediatrician and her new specialist (who is getting her report together, in an attempt to assist us in getting her as much as possible - a lot is cash pay, including this doctor), the school for next year that specializes in working with children on the spectrum, an iPad to assist in her communication, and I am hopeful to gain enough traction to allow her to attempt STEM Cells.

STEM Cells are the bulk of the cost, with each treatment being in the thousands... here in the states, I have found each to be approximately $15,000 each. From what I have researched, read and learned: she may need more than one and she may need more than one method of delivery for the STEM Cells. This would mean traveling to not only Florida from Texas, but also possibly to Tennessee or Atlanta as well.

Just a teacher looking to help her own child, after working with and helping so many others. I am proud to say that my kids are doing great things and moving mountains at their young ages!!! I am incredibly proud and lucky to have been able to teach them and get to work with them. Building trust in our community, one day at a time.

I am super hopeful that all of the good I have sent out, will come back in small bits to assist my daughter in getting all that she needs out of this world at her young age; so that she too can move mountains as she grows and ages into an adult.

Thank You from the bottom of our hearts!
